Through years of activity within the Italian pickleball community, we have developed direct relationships with a number of leading clubs that regularly host tournaments, clinics and international events. While we are able to research and evaluate venues throughout Italy, we also collaborate closely with a selected group of preferred partner clubs that stand out for their facilities, organization and ability to accommodate international groups. Here are some examples.
In Rome, Villa York Gianicolo is one of Italy’s premier pickleball destinations. The club features eight pickleball courts (six indoor and two outdoor), together with tennis courts, a swimming pool, two fitness centers, restaurant and bar facilities. Located just minutes from the Vatican and Rome’s historic center.
In Tuscany, we really like The Village Grosseto, one of the very few venues in central Italy capable of accommodating large pickleball groups. The complex offers five permanent outdoor pickleball courts, with the possibility of creating three additional courts on an adjacent indoor tennis surface. Beyond pickleball, guests can enjoy a modern clubhouse with restaurant and café, fitness facilities and a 25-meter outdoor swimming pool. Located in the beautiful Maremma region.
For northern Italy, one of our preferred partners is Tennis Padel Club Alba, located among the UNESCO-listed vineyards of the Langhe wine region in Piedmont. The club offers six permanent pickleball courts, with additional temporary courts that can be set up on tennis courts for larger events. More than a traditional sports center, it offers a resort-like atmosphere with swimming pool, restaurant, café and panoramic views over the surrounding hills.
